Safety still an issue after campus stabbing
A UNM student was stabbed in the neck outside the Anthropology Building on Feb. 15. Her assailant got away with her cell phone and was never found. Since then, several UNM departments initiated new safety measures, but no new lighting has been installed around the Anthropology Building.

White Cross memorial honors victims of abortion
The 144 white crosses on the lawn of St. Helen Catholic Church are more than a religious reference. The crosses, installed Tuesday afternoon at the Newbury Township parish, symbolize the number of deaths because of surgical abortion every hour in the United States since the 1973 Supreme Court decision of Roe v. Wade, which legalized abortion. Organizers thought the public needed a reminder.

Habitat for Humanity builds duplex units
